CHRIS OLNESS

Photographer

California native Chris Olness was born in the culturally rich city of San Francisco and now resides in the bohemian village of Venice Beach. Hes a self-taught street photographer with a passion for strong images and voyeuristic adventure. His travels have taken him to the shores of Indonesia, rooftops of Paris, deserts of Mexico and subways of New York.

His modern eye is drawn to the poetic harmony of natural and manmade design, moody texture and people with stories. Chris captures the stark beauty and timelessness of the world he roams. His photos are as much about the subject as about the man behind the camera, carefully watching compositions take shape, following his instincts, taking risks. His is a personal journey in photography, documenting his subjects with the compassion one has for an old friend. The images are for us to reflect on, trigger memories and open dreams. His exploration with the still image compliments his work as a Writer/Director of cinema.ew York.

GRANT ERNHART

Photographer

Grant Ernhart was born in St. Cloud, Minnesota. After high-school he became involved in Biathlon, the odd but fantastic sport combining cross-country skiing and rifle marksmanship. Ernhart competed on the international level in this sport for six years, ending his career after two years on the US National Team in 2000. He continued to be involved in the sport for two more years as the Assistant Junior National team coach and massage therapist. During this time, he began to study Rolfing, finishing his certificate in Munich, Germany in 2002. Ernhart moved back to Duluth, MN, where he opened his own practice. He went back to college that fall in preparation to study Naturopathic medicine but enrolled in a photography class as well, in order to receive financial aid. He had never really taken a picture before, but after three months became incredibly hooked and was persuaded to apply to the San Francisco Art Institute. In August 2003, he relocated to the West Coast to pursue photography full time. He graduated in May 2006 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts and continues to work and live in San Francisco.Currently, Grant is looking for opportunities to show his photography.
